Ransomware threats

Although phishing, external network scanning, and fraudulent emails are among the most common types of cyberattacks, ransomware is a growing threat to businesses and organizations.

Recent attacks (Storm etc.), exploiting vulnerabilities of Security Account Manager (SAM) using the Windows registry, confirmed the importance of adequate protection.

Ransomware-as-a-service enables sophisticated attacks even by entities that may not be technically advanced.

In addition to the usual encryption, there is also exfiltration of data along with the threat of disclosure, supported by other activities such as DDoS attacks to force the victim to pay a ransom.

Preventive comprehensive security of enterprises and organizations in terms of cyber security is therefore crucial for their stability and further development.

In the event of an attack, it is necessary to choose the right procedure, because mistakes are expensive to pay.
